On July 1, 2023, @sawanmichel stumbled upon a male Northern Goshawk in Horsh Ehden Nature Reserve @horshehdenreserve , Lebanon. What started as a rare sighting turned into a breathtaking revelation – a female Northern Goshawk guarding a nest in a Cedar tree! 🦅 Despite the nest being empty, signs of occupancy were undeniable. @sawanmichel returned on July 4 to find a juvenile Goshawk nearby, marking the FIRST documented breeding record of this species in Lebanon. 🎉 Huge thanks to Michel Sawan for this exceptional finding in Horsh Ehden Nature Reserve! 🙌 #Birdwatching #NatureDiscovery #LebanonWildlife
